Creating a detailed wood carving is a significant and time-intensive process. My work involves a combination of power and manual tools, including a milling machine with various cutters, files, and chisels. The Winston Churchill tobacco pipe is meticulously hand-carved from briar wood, a material favored for its heat resistance and its capacity to hold fine details. Furthermore, at the client’s request, I hand-painted the Churchill family crest on the presentation box that accompanies the pipe. Every detail of both the pipe and the box is carefully crafted, and I exclusively use the finest Italian briar for the pipe itself.
