Godzilla cigar rest is my old project made for a fan of cigars and Godzilla. I like that I see emotion, an open mouth, and an evil look make this wooden holder really epic. Wood carving took a lot of time, because in addition to the face, the wooden Godzilla has many spikes and skin texture. In the photo, by the way, there is a previous version of the wooden King Kong I made together.

Materials and tools for the Godzilla Cigar Rest

Godzilla cigar rest was carved by me, from pear wood. It is a great wood for carving, fine detailing, and staining. Yes, I used stain, that black one like in the movie, and a browner one so that the details could be seen better. Very fine detailing was possible thanks to my drill and many different cutters. Even the small teeth in the mouth of the wooden Godzilla are made with incredible precision and cleanliness.
