Deadpool cigar stand: Light ’em up, Tiger

I made a Deadpool cigar stand for the premiere of the film. And this holder immediately became popular. Perhaps the love for this character was added by the fact that Deadpool smokes a cigar. By the way, I don’t know if Deadpool smokes in real life? But it turned out cool, I made it look like his mask was torn, and there was a cigar in his mouth. I’ll separately note the detailing of the wood carving. I remember that the textures of his mask took a lot of time. I put each point with a milling cutter, it took a lot of time.

Materials and tools for the Deadpool Cigar Stand

Deadpool cigar stand was carved from pear wood using my drill and a variety of cutters, diamond burs. I also sometimes use chisels and files. Pear is an excellent wood for colored work. Here, for the wooden Deadpool, I used black and red stain. The cigar that Deadpool smokes is carved from briar wood. But I don’t know what kind of cigars he prefers 🙂 In the end, as usual, oil and polishing add a rustic style to my work. As if it were an antique.
